Terms and Conditions

I agree to the following terms and conditions:

  • I agree to indemnify Balanze for any damages, either physical, personal or property, which may arise as a result of or in connection with participation in the Classes or any information provided during class.
  • I agree to waive and release Balanze for any damages, either physical, personal or property, which may arise as a result of or in connection with participation in the Classes or any information provided during class.
  • I declare that I am medically and physically fit and able to participate in the Classes. I agree to inform the instructor of any change to my medical condition, fitness or ability to participate before attending the Classes. If in any pain or suffering from any injuries, I agree to consult with a medical practitioner for treatment and wait for medical clearance before attending the Classes.
  • I understand that physical exercise can be strenuous and can subject me to risk of serious injury. I agree that by participating on physical exercise and training activities, I do so at my own risk. I agree not to put my health and safety or the health and safety of others at risk.
  • I understand that it is not appropriate to experience any pain or discomfort during exercises and I will cease the exercise immediately and advise the instructor so the exercise can be modified.
  • I understand a student instructor may observe or assist with teaching sessions as part of their Pilates training. I agree to let my instructor know if I do not want a student instructor observing or teaching the sessions. Student instructors are required to adhere to Balanze’s privacy policy.
  • I understand the safety and wellbeing of any minors that attend Balanze under my care (as agreed with the instructor) are my responsibility and I agree personally accept in my capacity as parent or guardian the terms set out above.
  • I acknowledge and consent to photographs and electronic images being taken of me during the participation in the Classes. I acknowledge that such photographs and images are owned by Balanze and I consent to them using the photos and images for promotional purposes. Further, I consent to Balanze using my name, statements or otherwise at any time by any form of media, without payment or compensation.
  • I agree to receiving marketing material from Balanze, but understand that I can opt out of this marketing material by advising Balanze that I no longer wish to receive it in writing or unsubscribing.
  • The tuition paid by me for the Classes in non-refundable. Balanze may in its sole discretion grant refunds to me without prejudicing any of its rights.

I confirm that I have read and fully understood the above direction and advice. I confirm that all of the information I have provided is correct and constitutes all the information that is relevant to my participation in the Classes.

Punctuality

You agree to arrive 10 minutes before class and understand that the front door will be locked at the class start time.

Holds

Email hello@balanze.com.au at least three business days before the date you’d like any memberships to be placed on hold and also advise your return date. We can hold your membership up to three times, for a minimum of two weeks and a maximum of 12 weeks in total, in any 12-month period.

Cancellation

Cancellation of any memberships must be made by emailing hello@balanze.com.au at least 5 business days prior to your requested cancellation date. Cancellations must be made in writing via the above email address.

Late cancels/no shows

Please cancel any classes you cannot attend, online or using the Balanze App within the “Early Cancellation Period”, which is 4 hours for all classes.

If you’ve purchased an Intro Offer, Single class or Pack, you’ll forfeit your class if your cancellation is not within the Early Cancellation Period or you do not show to class.
For memberships, you’ll incur a $10 fee each time a cancellation isn’t within the Early Cancellation Period and $20 if you do not show to class, without cancelling. In the case of a membership with a limited number of classes, you will be charged the fee, but will not forfeit the class.

For appointments, there is a 24 hour minimum cancellation period. You will forfeit your appointment for any cancellations within this time period.

We will not accept cancellations via text, email or any other method. We understand that unforeseeable circumstances can arise, but we need to be fair and consistent with all clients.

Injuries/pregnancy/other circumstances

You agree to notify your instructor of any injuries or pregnancy before class commences and understand that some classes are not suitable for clients with injuries or pregnancy.

Legal

Your privacy is very important to us and we will always act to protect your information. We take this responsibility seriously and are very careful about how and when your personal information is collected, used and shared.

Our privacy commitment

We will always ensure that we handle your personal information securely and carefully. Your personal information will only be used when it is necessary for us to deliver you a service or perform other essential business functions and activities.

Collection of information

The information that we collect may include:

·           your name

·           your contact details, i.e. email, mobile and phone

We collect information for many reasons including:

·           to improve our service

·           to provide offers that are of a greater interest or benefit to you

·           to complete other transactions with you or on your behalf

·           to protect against fraud or theft

Balanze does not intend to sell your personal information to other parties.

Linked sites

Balanze is not responsible for the privacy practices of sites linked to Balanze via hyperlinks, banner advertising or other means. Please take care at all times when visiting another site.

Cookies and online advertising

A cookie is a small data file that is stored by your web browser on your computer. Balanze and our advertising management partner, use cookies to help monitor your online activity and to learn what you are interested in and which advertisements bring users to our website. The information that we collect and share from the Cookies is anonymous and not personally identifiable. It does not contain your name, address, telephone number, email address or the details of your internet service provider.
